About Liz Howard & Up2eleven

Up2eleven was founded with a simple belief: when leaders and teams perform at their best, organisations thrive.

Inspired by the idea of turning things "up to eleven", it's about helping people maximise their potential, stretch beyond perceived limits and achieve extraordinary results.

Whether supporting an individual leader, a leadership team or an organisation-wide talent strategy, the purpose remains the same: helping people realise their potential, strengthening leadership at every level and enabling organisations to create workplaces where both people and performance can flourish.

Liz Howard, CPsychol AFBPsS

Chartered Psychologist | Executive Coach | Talent Consultant

Partnering with leaders and organisations across Leeds, Yorkshire and the UK.

Before founding Up2Eleven, I spent more than 25 years working in corporate environments, building a career across leadership, talent and organisational development. During that time, I worked with organisations including Lloyds Banking Group, Bentley Motors, Drax, AstraZeneca and Capita, leading initiatives focused on leadership development, talent management, employee engagement and organisational change.

Those experiences shaped far more than my professional expertise. They gave me first-hand insight into the realities of leadership; the opportunities, pressures and responsibilities that come with leading people, navigating change, balancing competing priorities and delivering results through others. Having worked both alongside and in support of leaders at all levels, I understand that leadership is rarely as straightforward as it appears from the outside.

My work today combines that practical experience with specialist expertise in psychology and coaching. I am a Chartered Coaching Psychologist, Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and EMCC Senior Practitioner Coach, with a Master's degree specialising in Organisational Psychology and postgraduate qualifications in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring. I am also qualified in a range of psychometric and personality assessment tools, enabling me to bring both scientific rigour and practical business insight to my work with leaders, teams and organisations.

I bring curiosity, challenge, support and a healthy dose of realism, creating a space where people can reflect, think differently and make meaningful progress towards what matters most to them. Whether thats navigating a leadership challenge, strengthening a leadership team, supporting career growth or developing future talent, my role is to be a trusted thinking partner, helping people gain clarity, build confidence and create lasting impact

On a personal note...

A Manc lass at heart and now happily settled in Yorkshire, you'll usually find me outdoors when I'm not working. I love walking in the countryside, travelling, practising yoga, discovering great food, enjoying the occasional glass of rosé and spending time with my two miniature dachshunds, who are convinced they run the household.

I'm a firm believer that life isn't all about achievement and productivity. Some of my favourite moments are the simple ones; a long walk, a great conversation, time with family and friends, or watching something grow in the garden that I was convinced wouldn't survive.

Like many people, I've faced my share of life's challenges. Career setbacks, failures, bereavement, periods of stress and anxiety have all shaped who I am and the perspective I bring to both life and work. Whilst I wouldn't have chosen many of those experiences, they have taught me resilience, self-awareness and the importance of having the right support around you when life feels difficult.

Giving something back is also important to me. Alongside supporting a number of dog rescue charities, I volunteer as a career coach for Smart Works, a UK charity that helps women gain the confidence, skills and support needed to secure employment and transform their lives.

What interests me most, both professionally and personally, is people; their stories, their potential and what helps them flourish. It's a curiosity that extends far beyond my work and continues to shape how I live, learn and connect with others.
